Race through history as Ballarat’s beautiful inner-city streets come alive for this Saturday evening one-mile dash. This is a distance for everyone: from the elite four-minute milers contesting the Australian Road Mile Championships to those looking to complete a short road running event for the first time.
AGE RESTRICTIONS:
There are no age restrictions in the MILE, however all entrants aged 12 and under must be accompanied by a registered adult.
BIB COLLECTION LOCATION:
Civic Hall, 300/304 Mair St, Ballarat Central
NOTE: Civic Hall is a separate venue to Town Hall (start location).
BIB COLLECTION TIMES:
Friday 24 April: 12pm - 7pm
Saturday 25 April: 9am - 3:45pm (closes 30 mins prior to your scheduled race time)

Who can run in the Elite races (the Australian Road Mile Championships)?
We are encouraging national-standard and state-standard runners and fast club runners to take part in our Elite races, which double as the Australian Road Mile Championships. Runners need to request an entry code from our Competition Manager, June Petrie, by emailing competition@ballaratmarathon.com.au. Runners will asked to submit evidence of a qualifying time.

Men: Have posted a time of 4:25 or faster
Women: 5:10 or faster
16 & Under Boys: 5:10 or faster

The cut-off time for the mass-participation mile is 25 minutes (4:40pm). You will be able to achieve this at a casual walking pace.
